For some reason x-y graphs have been running through my brain. I came up with this one during a freshman composition infolit session yesterday. Students (I never have English majors, or even humanities students, in my freshmen comp classes; always psych, nursing, criminal justice, sports or comp sci.) were working on topics and choosing keywords for database searches. This seemed to make sense to them, with their analytic, chart driven brains. They need visuals, not just words.
